LESLIE JOSEPH (JOE) CARTER

Sixth child of SELINA and HENRY.

Leslie Joseph married Laura O'Hara born 19 Dec, 1913 at Glen Innes on 19 Sep, 1931 and had two sons;

Lance William: born 16 Jan, 1932;
Rexford John: born 14 Jul, 1944, both at Glen Innes.

Joe was a slaughter man and butcher most of his life and finally storeman for Department of Main Roads at Glen Innes. He had a stroke and retired. He had a long and distinguished football career, both as a player and as a referee. He represented his home town for many years and then turned to refereeing the game being much in demand throughout the north of the state.
