Third child of ROBERT and HELEN.

Amy Dora Beatrice, known as Beat, was born in Armidale but did not marry. She had a son

• Keith Clarence, born 19 Jan, 1919,

She had a vast knowledge of the family and kept a birthday book which contained a lot of names, many of whom l had never heard of. Her grandson copied all this for me and much of the information to come to hand has come through names in Beat's book.

Sadly, she had already passed on by the time I started my research and, like my Aunt May, took a lot with her that would have made the research much easier; too bad that we don't realise just how much older people can give if only we start asking early enough.

Beat died 1 Mar, 1969 at West Wallsend, Newcastle.
