HAZEL ESTELLE STAPLETON

Fifth child of AARON and ETHEL.

Hazel married Lloyd Maxwell Stapleton 22 May, 1948 at Armidale. Max, born at Orange 30 Sep, 1934, is the son of Horace and Clarice Stapleton (nee Whitehead). They have two sons;

Douglas Lloyd: born at Cudal N.S.W. 26 Sep, 1949;
Ian James: 23 Mar, 1951, at Orange.

Max founded the Cudal Mohair Stud based on the property "Gundamain", Cudal. The Stapletons have taken a leading role in the development of the Australian Mohair Industry, Max being the first National President of the Angora Breed Society and its first National Director and Chief Executive Officer. He has also spent 38 years in Local Government.
