NORMAN CHARLES BURLING

Fourth child of AARON and ETHEL.

Norman married Mildred Smith at Campsie, N.S.W. 19 Feb, 1942. Mildred was the daughter of William and Annie Smith (nee Stephenson) and died 28 Jun, 1947 at Newcastle; there were no children.

Norman then married Ailsa Scott Wallace 11 Jun, 1948 at Sydney. Ailsa, the daughter of John Robert and Una Scott Wallace (nee Weltig), was born at Atherton, Queensland 11 Apr, 1926. They have three children, all born in Sydney;

Grahame Scott: born 9 Aug, 1949;
Kerrin Scott: 22 Jun, 1951;
Peta Lyn: 17 Jul, 1954.

During World War 2, Norman worked with the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation, building Beaufort Bombers, Beaufighters and Mosquitoes under contract to the De Havilland Company.
