THIRD CHILD OF JAMES.
Peggy married Robert Clark Morgan at Moree on 12 Aug, 1949. Robert was born 8 Jun, 1918, the only son of Leo and Gladys Morgan of Talgamatta, Garah. Bob leased the property "Kilenna", Boomi and later purchased it. He was a keen sportsman, playing cricket and tennis and was heavily involved with the tennis club, holding a number of offices and a dedicated member of the R.S.L. sub branch, having served with Bomber Command with R.A.A.F. in Europe, England and the Middle East.
He also was a keen supporter of all organisations working for the benefit of the distriCt. He died on 15 Sep, 1975.
Peg was an excellent tennis player and was well known in the area for her ability on the court. She also took an active role in Club activities. Together with either of her two sisters she made a formidable combination in ladies doubles, with Bob in mixed doubles.
After Bob's death she continued to run the property and still does so with the help of her daughters. She plays an active role in community affairs and is a hard worker for the Anglican Church in Boomi.
They had four daughters and one son, all born in Moree:
Grahame died 19 Aug, 1978 at Moree. A short time before his death he took over his Uncle Ron's portion of the family property, "Plantation" which is now held by his mother and sisters. His death was caused by complete heart failure. A germ entered his body through a tooth, into the blood stream and entered the heart valves which were replaced by surgery but the heart collapsed and he died very quickly.
Two of the girls are not married.
Sandra married Mark Raymund Downes of Moree on 23 Mar, 1991.
Helen is married.
All are excellent tennis players following their parents footsteps.
Diane and Julie are both at home helping on the place. Helen is a teacher in Moree and Sandra is an assistant to Peter Gough, a veterinary surgeon.
